A healthy body weight largely depends on a healthy diet habit and
sufficient exercise. It is a great pity that we live in a society
where there is little space and time for these factors.
Fast-food, night-shops, meals that are high in fat and sugar contribute
to new dietary habits. The time spent on having a pleasant and extensive
family breakfast is getting short and shorter and less time is spent
on eating. The food industry is reacting to this eagerly. Fast, high-calorie
snacks fill numerous shelves in the shops. Young people and children
are an important target group for this industry. Soft drinks, quick
lunches, high-sugar snacks and other bites dominate the food at school.
What
is more: physical labour has dropped drastically. In a time of information
technology and mechanics, we not only have jobs in
which we sit at our desks, but we also have more sit-down leisure
activities. Our energy consumption is no longer balanced with our
energy intake and weight gain is the result.
Diet Centers Group is a centre specialised in food and dietary advice:
We feel that the problem of overweight and obesity can best be dealt
with by means of cooperation between the various (medical) sectors.
DCG surrounds itself with doctors, paramedics and dieticians to
strive for one and the same goal: a healthy body weight.
DCG also
focuses on specific target groups. Young people, the elderly or athletes
can call on our dieticians to draw up a balanced diet
schedule or ask for information.
The necessity of constant support
and the creation of an opportunity to ask questions resulted in the
creation of Diet Centers Group. |
